Week 123: Austin, Texas!

I remember after college, a close friend of mines, like a brother, Barry Church, had got picked up by the Dallas Cowboys! In those days, he would fly me to Dallas and let me experience the NFL life behind the scenes, and man did I learn a lot. We would go on many trips together, but during that time, I fell in love with Dallas. The big state of Texas, the warm climate, the diversity, the opportunity, I could go on... I never wanted to leave. To say this, I am moving to Austin, Texas. Originally, I was going to move to Irving, as I was going through an interview loop with Verizon, turns out I did not get the job, which may of been a good thing. So my lovely wife says instead of Dallas or the Ft. Worth area, why don't we just go to Austin, since it's a tech hub. I thought to myself, what a great idea! Now, I've never been to Austin, but I am sure I will love it, because I just love all of Texas. It's my type of party. My landlord is selling our house (we rent), and we have until the 3rd of October to move, so we said, instead of staying in boring Pennsylvania where the tech is sub-par if anything, let's move to a tech hub spot. We pondered Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, but we ended up landing on Austin. I am mentally preparing for this big move across the country, it surely is a stressul experience, but in my opinion totally worth it. I am excited for the kids, we found new schools that are much better than their current schools. We leave in 11 days, we found a nice apartment, that also has a pool! My goal is to attend all the tech meetups, network, find a job, and work relentlessly. This move will change my life. I am going to reset my focus and show a new tremendous amount of determination. I also have one final exam left to pass on Codecademy and then I will earn my Full Stack certificate. It was definitely one of the most difficult courses that I've taken in my entire life! I learned so much! The projects were the most difficult. Now, I will just start building projects, passionate projects, non stop. I will also continue to learn new technologies and languages. I will also return to Khan Academy to learn more Math, as Math has always had a spot in my heart since grade school. I will keep you guys posted when I get to Austin! Have a great week!
